ACT TO APPROVE EMPLOYMENT OF SUBSTITUTE SPEECH THERAPIST ON THE BASIS OF A VARIABLE TERM WAIVER (Mrs. Mills)

The district actively seeks to employ fully credentialed speech therapists. There is a statewide shortage in this profession and we have an ongoing need to find qualified candidates to fill our vacancies for speech therapists. The district presently has a need for a substitute speech therapist. Andrea Albergottie has a BA in leadership organization. She has been pursuing her BA degree in communication disorders and will be continuing her masters program in speech and language pathology.

The recommended action is to approve the employment of Andrea Albergottie as a substitute speech therapist on the basis of a variable term waiver.

In light of the fact that Victor Elementary School District no longer has a need for a Deputy Superintendent, that position has been removed from the Management Salary Schedule.
